A live web chat is a place on your web site or intranet where employees or clients are
able to discuss topics of interest at a pre-determined scheduled time online. Live web
chats include a subject matter expert (SME) and moderators that control the flow of
questions presented to the SME. Unlike a forum where users can discuss topics over
a period of time, a live web chat is designed for a specific point in time, and then the
content is archived for future viewing. Live web chats can be delivered via streaming
video or text. An example might include a celebrity guest or a C-Level executive that
will be available to answer questions live from your employees or site visitors.
How does it work?
Our live web chat technology allows your audience to submit questions to notable leaders
in your company, subject matter experts, peers, etc. on any topic that you choose.
Questions can be submitted in advance or live during the actual discussion. All questions
are placed into a queue where a discussion moderator can review and approve those questions
that are on-topic, non-redundant, and most interesting. The questions can be answered live
during a pre-set time via text or streaming video. After the discussion is complete, it is
archived for later viewing on your website or company's intranet.
